Matthew Cullinan is originally from Connecticut and holds degrees in Theatre Arts and English from Boston College. Matthew is currently the House Manager of the Lyric Theatre.
While at school I threw my creative energies every way I could. I gained extensive experience in acting (my first love), set design and scenic construction. I also directed full-length and short works, both published and original, in addition to serving as a producer on numerous shows. In my short time at The Lyric I’ve continued this work acting in a stage reading and directing and designing set for The Blowin of Baile Gall.
Working with the Lyric has provided me with a bevy of fun and exciting opportunities. It’s not every day working in theatre that you get to surround yourself with young artists who have the resources and the drive to make a difference. What I love about the Lyric is that egos aren’t an issue here. We do theatre because we love doing it and because we want to be doing it. My goal is to pump out fresh ideas that are going to infuse the work at the Lyric with an electricity that will keep people coming back. |
